Lead Services
Lead Paint Inspection & Testing in Denver and Across Colorado
XRF and paint chip testing for renovation, real estate, rental and remediation projects. Certified inspectors, clear results and a straightforward report.
What we do
Lead-paint inspections (XRF)
We test painted surfaces on site with an XRF analyzer. You get immediate readings without damaging the surface, and a report showing which surfaces contain lead and where.
Paint chip sampling
Where XRF is not practical, or when you need a laboratory result, we collect paint chip samples and send them to the lab for analysis.
Pre-renovation testing
Find out which surfaces contain lead before the work starts, so you can plan the project and protect workers and occupants.
Real estate and rental testing
Testing for buyers, sellers, landlords and property managers of older buildings, with documentation you can keep on file.
Lead clearances
After lead-based paint remediation, we verify that the work area is clean and ready to reopen. Onsite analysis lets most contractors move forward the same day.
Clear written reports
A readable report that identifies where lead was found and what was tested, so the next step is obvious.

Common questions
Do I need lead testing before a renovation?
Federal rules require lead-safe work practices for most renovation, repair and painting in homes and child-care facilities built before 1978. Testing tells you which surfaces actually contain lead, so you know where those requirements apply.
What is the difference between XRF and paint chip testing?
XRF reads the lead content of paint on site without removing it, so results are immediate and the surface is not damaged. Paint chip sampling removes a small sample for laboratory analysis, which is useful where XRF is not practical or a lab result is required.
Do I have to disclose lead paint when selling or renting?
For housing built before 1978, sellers and landlords generally must disclose known lead-based paint and provide the EPA lead hazard information pamphlet. Testing gives you documented results to disclose.
How fast can you get on site?
For most Metro and Front Range addresses we can usually schedule within a day or two, and same day for urgent circumstances. For projects further away we can still usually schedule faster than most firms, and we will tell you honestly what we can do.
Where do you work?
We are based in Lakewood and serve the Denver metro area, the mountains and the Western Slope across Colorado, plus select neighboring states.
